so… 2 down —- 3 to go!!!!

thats the official count as of right now!!! it’s way too nice to be studying or trapped in a classroom writting exams. Maybe end of fall term is better in that way……….

so I’m wasting time right now, so I don’t have to type a paper. Although I really have nothing to say here either. Tommorow is Dad’s birthday (Happy __th Birthday Pops!!!!) I’m not saying how old he is cause he’s gotten to that age where it just doesn’t matter anymore. He’s got no kids living at home and he travels all around the world! Hmmmm…. lets just say it’s his birthday. So I’m going to drive down to Red Deer this weekend and have some cake!!!

Yesterday Brad picked me up and we took a tour by the house and they have walls and some stairs and a pantry — they even have a floor!! The house is comming along very nicely and it’s all very exciting. Check out Brad’s page for pictures and much more detail.

Anyway I should probably go write a paper… OR.. I could wonder around the internet to see what I want to change the design of my website to. hmmm… what to do? what to do?

So I have some bad news … Jana the fish died last night in my sleep. He didn’t look to good when I went to bed last night and actually hadn’t eaten since I got him and then when I woke up this morning I went and checked on him and he was definately doing worse (aka he had passed away). Anyway due to the size of the fish and the size of the tank I had some problems getting him out. I ended up using 2 pencils like chopsticks to remove him. Then he wnt to fishy heaven. I’m a little sad. But I’m getting over it. I cleaned the tank and put some new water in it and got it all ready for a new fish (a girls gotta move on) and hopefully I will be getting a new fish soon cause the empty tank is kinda depressing. This time I’ll wait a week before I put up pictures (maybe the celebrity life was too much for him to handle). Anyway I said that I would write if he did anything and he did so…. there you are!

So last Saturday Brad and I took a trip to the mall to pick up Jana the fish, we brought him home and put him in his new home, he seemed to like it. Now he’s more or less a tree hugger. Yup, he spends all of his time cuddling with the plastic plant and occasionally puffing up at me while I’m at my computer… whatever!

Anyway there are some pictures (click my cow) - the digital camera sure is comming in handy, it takes no time at all to get pictures up now!!! If Jana ever does anything exciting, like move to the other side of the tank, I’ll be sure to write about it. And I’ll try to get some better pictures cause he really is a pretty fish.

On the whole school end of things the is nothing new. I’m actually ahead in all my reading and stuff but we’ll see how long that lasts what with assignments, quizzes, midterms and all that lovely stuff starting! I love school (??????????).

I know how much everyone is looking forward to these pictures that I keep promising so… CLICK MY COW!!! (really I just like saying that) There are some new pictures.

yeah, so about the whole picture thing - I am having some problems with the new computer/ scanner/ programs that I have (so I’m not the big geek that I claim to be) so until my wonderful brother comes over to set me straight there won’t be any pictures. I did try over the weekend but I didn’t get too far. Big file + slow internet = long periods of nothing overly productive! and I got bored! I’m sure I coulda done something about it this weekend but I ended up in Red Deer. Hopefully Monday night….. I hear it will be good fishing weather!!!

So I’m officially a geek! I was putting off writting anything until I went to all my classes and as of tonight I have so…..here it goes!

Last semesters marks were good, I can’t really complain about the way it all ended. It was good!!!

Christmas was good. I got a digital camera from mom and dad - so that means that there will most likely be more pictures going up here any day now (I have plans to do it this weekend when the slow internet won’t bother me so much - unless I forget.. in which case it will be a little longer!) New Years was fun, didn’t do anything wild but it was definatley one of the better nights I’ve had! So overall the break was good. I didn’t have to do much and I watched lots of movies!

Then I came back to Edmonton and it turned very very cold, in case no one noticed (someone asked me today if it was ‘cold enough for me’ then looked at me funny when I said yes - wierd). I’m very excited about this semester. I’m taking 5 classes (intro anthropology, globalization, social-psych, learning and behaviour, and sociology of youth) and I’m gonna be busy this semester but at least it all seems intresting so far. I’m very excited about the sociology of youth course, the text book is actually a book that I always see in the bookstore and always wanted to read but never did. That’s what makes me a geek — I’m so excited about this class that I actually called Brad to tell him how excited I am ( I know..) In other words look forward to me talking about this class every opportuity that I get, it should be fun for everyone!

Thats about it! It’s cold. Classes are good. It’s cold. I’m excited. Did I mention that it’s cold!!?!?!

So I finished my exams and came back to red deer, worked, went back to edmonton and now i’m back in red deer!! Also i have barely had my car to drive because of some unfortunate events…. such as an accident that took out my headlight! My car is better now, it’s getting it’s oil changed right now, but it has no dents now, well… lets say it has dimples because I did not see a point to making it perfect, but it’s drivable again!!!

I have to do some christmas shopping still, but i’m not as worried about it as i probably should be. All I have to do for a while is relax and wait for January to come so I can get back to school and get back at it!!

Did anyone else but me notice that i’ve had over 3000 hits at this webpage??? Just over 2 years and 3000 hits…. is that good or what?

For those of you whomight even care a little bit…. here’s an update.

My mom was nice enought to call me this morning (I asked her to) at 6:30 to start the wake-up call system so i wouldn'’t miss my bus, so i could get to school, so i could take my exam (computers 101 - i know…). I’m not sure what I said to her this morning but I am sure that it probably did not make sense. Then at 6:45 my alarm clock went off and at 7:00 when my cell phone alarm was set I am proud to say that i was actually already out of bed! I decided on the 3 alarm wake-up system at about 2:46 this morning when i was so tired but could not get to sleep!! Anyway, my mom (even an hour and a half away) is still making sure that I don’t miss my finals!! That’s love!!!

So I wrote the exam, I think that I did better than I thought I would, I was done in 2 hours and 15 minutes, but stayed the full 3 hours and looked over the whole thing about 27 times (just to be safe) — I did my best…. whatever that is…..

So then I came home and wanted to sleep but I made myself study for psychology (which is on Friday). I’m a keener, I’m not ashamed, I’ve been studying for….. well it feels like forever… I don’t know how long it actually has been but does it really matter??

So one more exam and I will be done another semester, it should feel good, it should feel like I’ve accomplished something ….. but it doesn’t …. it feels like nothing …… good or bad? you decide for yourself. but don’t tell me …. I don’t wanna know.

On another note: Brad and Karin’s house is almost a hole!! And thats a good thing!!! Soon… there will be a bonus room!!! I am very excited about this whole house thing, it’s wierd!! maybe over Christmas, if there is a hole, I will go see it with them (mainly cause I don’t know how to get there on my own — maybe they did that on purpose?!?!?).
